  • pre bake and metal discoloration

When I prebake parts, such as an air cleaner, to outgas it and burn the oil out of the seams they always darken to a blue color. I realize that the metal is OK when this happens but it is necessary to resandblast the part to remove the discolorization or can the part just be coated as is? I have been resandblasting but it seems like I am doing the same thing twice here.

I have never blasted Steel or Tim after prebaking. I have never had mine turn blue either.

    Are you from PFF?

We also need to get together and discuse pricing. There is not Way I can price things as low as you are doing. I think we could both benefit on PFF if we both have similar pricing. Shot me a PM on PFF with your email and I will send you my pricing. Yes I am getting the prices on the sheet, we need to stand up and tell them cheapskates TDB! Yopu are selling stuff way too cheap for the work that goes into it.
