  • will powder coating run

I just built an oven out of an old railroad signal box, six feet tall, 3 foot wide and two feet deep. I put owens corning insulation on the outside and then 4x8 sheets of durorock around that. I am wondering when hanging parts up to bake will the powder coat run off when heating. I have to get my wiring done next and will see if everything works.

You can get runs on the item your powder coating, but I myself have never seen run off anything I have cured. Make sure you have an exhaust port or vent for venting/expansion.

      Re" Will Powder coating run?

I've never seen it run so much that is would drip off! In fact, run's are not very common.

He's right, this is how I learned my HF gun $hit the bed. PC ran like a scared rabbit. In the past I have seen an occasional drip where I applied it on the heavy side trying to get into a deep corner or crevice.
