Thermal conductivity

Hi all

Does anyone know what powder coating does to the heat transfer of the parent metal.

I have some electrial boxes made of 1/8" alum, that were alodined. They are ugly and dont stand up at all to handling. So the question was to have them powder coated.

So does anyone know how powder coating would effect the heat transfer. We dont want any of the components to cook their brains out.

Hey Bob:
I don't have any real numbers, but don't think you will have any problems with PC holding too much heat. I have a customer that makes customs electronic equipment, been pc'in his stuff & he has had no issues.
