Are we still talking about Satin Black?
The purpose with it is just to keep the heat in the pipe, not letting it out in the enginecompartment, thus getting higher gas speed and lowering the temp around the pipe. TLTD on the other hand works the way you describe...

Will Answer all your Questions about the Product.

Yes it is desinged to hold the heat inside the Pipe. I did my Heads, Exhaust Manifolds, Exhaust Pipes and Mufflers. The Under Deck lid temps are way down from even the old 4 CYL.

                  curious,

you cant sandblast the inside of the pipe because your limited in how far it will travel. you can def get the outside but limited on the inside. I heard guys will cap the side and then put in 1 0z or something and then swish it around pour into a cup and then go the the next tube, same procedure.

                  Does this sound about right?

I am also thinking about Doing ceramic coating for atleast me and my buddies bikes.
Powdercoat... the other, other, multicolored meat.

Ahhh... that mikes sense. That wastegate pipe is huge (looks bigger than 50mm) so I mistook it for a crossover.
