  • Urgent question

    Hi!

Im abount to powdercoat the rear subframe for my own Celica GT4. The frame has 4 huge bushings pressed into it, and i dont really want to try getting them out since the risk of ruining them is too big and price for new are over $200 each. Question is, at what temp does the rubber get messed up in the bushings? I guess at some temp the vulked steelsleeve and casing of the bushing give up and loosen. I did some test of an old bushing i had at 150 degrees celsuis for 30 minutes without any problems, but i need some input on this before i have to empty my wallet for $800...

Well, since they cant be removed without changing them for a huge cost i let them stay in plance while pc. No problem what so ever. I tried an old bushing and "baked" that one for 1.5 hours before, no problem. Still wouldnt recomend it, but in this case i had no choice.
