  • Starting with a cool oven

Will it hurt the process to put the part in the oven without preheating it.....

Some of the parts that barely fit in my oven are hard to position correctly without burning myself. Will it hurt anything to go through the normal process but just not preheat the oven so that I can position the part inside and then turn the oven on? I realize that it would take longer oven time, but it would be worth it to me to be able to position the part correctly and not have to worry about knocking powder off while trying to keep from getting burned....

I don't think it will hurt anything. It's not how fast the part comes up to temperature, just that it gets there..
    IMHO

After reading the above I just did a load of 6 stands in Black Epoxy with outstanding results. Now isn't that something? Dick
