Just received kit and have a couple of questions

Which tip should I use to shoot Black Magic powder? There is one on the gun and 2 extras different sizes.

Secondly, What sandblast media should I use to blast some minor paint off a brass expansion tank?

The temperature to bake @ 400 for 15 minutes sound right? Of course after baking for outgasing.

Just want this part to turn out right. Would be cool, the first one out of the gate!

you got the caswell gun..

But for blasting any fine med blasting media will be fine. I use coal slag in a fine mesh..

As for the gun i can't help much there i never used my gun yet.. I got it for a spare.. I am sure some one will help on that part..

The tip is more for spreading the powder, i use the smaller tip mostly since i do a lot of complex designed things, if it was wide areas i would use a larger one. So it has nothing to do with what kind of powder you coat, more of what you coat it on...

i just got my gun fixed today thanks to lance caswell for sending me the part.. I will be shooing some powder today then i will know alittle more about the gun.. but thank zpider for helping out there

Once you play around with the different tips, try it without one. Maybe it's just me, it seems to work better without one

Yep, works nice without it when you have tight corners or areas that are hard to cover..

Caution with the expansion tank. I did mine on an old Jaguar and I melted the damn top off the thing. I had to resoldier it back on. In the end, it came out fantastic.

Just picked up my bast cabinet, just needs a new window. Plexiglas should work for now and it’s cheap. Hoping to PC Saturday. I was already asked to PC a computer case!!!
