At 5 to 10,000 dollars for commercial ovens, I am curious as to what most of us would be willing to spend on an oven. For the sake of comparing apples to apples, let's make it a 3'X3'X4' electric oven.

This may be dumb but it seems to me that a oven for the guy busting out some parts in his garage should be built so it can be torn down and stacked/stored someplace when it is not in use.
I could design one in all of about 20 minutes.
Most users of the kits I see sold here own a two car garage. I am fortunate enough to have a three car garage and I do not have room to put a 4ft. by 4ft. oven in it unless it can be broken down to a manageable size.
Well I will not try to help anymore today, I know it was to simple of an idea.

Here's a link to an oven that someone had built designed to break down for storage.

Thats the one I saw, pretty nice oven.
A couple of ideas that I had was 1. and oven that could be stood on it's end for storage thus reducing the floor space required to store. 2. One that has the side, end and top panels removable so the whole thing could store against a wall only taking up about 3 square feet.
I guess I should go into my engineering department (the dinning table) and see what I can come up with. Research and development will have to wait unti the wife moves here car out of the garage.Lee Parsons
