  • Looking for anodized look.

Just shot some chrome, now what color red do I shoot over the chrome? Looking for the red anodized look.

    Thanks!

Check the album. There is a motorcycle with the swingarm done in lollipop red. It's done over a polish but may be close over chrome.

Lollypop red is perfect, did my brake rotor in it.

It looks even better in person.

That answers my question on how lollipop red will look over the intake I'm polishing now.

The trick with the anodize look is to spray the top coat over a polished fnish very lightly, if you add too much it will looks like candy and wont show the shine through as much. Make sure you get out all the fine buff marks also as it will show in the coating

that looks great, but I am having a very very hard time with the lillipop blue. It is the hardest powder I have ever shot. It has light and dark spots all the time. I have tried applying it hot and cold over silver metalic. I think I may give up in the candy top coats. they look great when done properly, but its terrible to have to strip back off when done wrong.
