  • Another weird question

I have a large tubular type part the barely fits in my household electric oven. It's too big to hang, but it sits on the bottom of the oven without touching the heat element. Now my plan is this: Paint the top half, and let the bottom half sit on the bottom oven while baking. Then paint the bottom half while letting the top haf sit on the bottom of the oven. My question is this, will there be a noticeable spot where the paint meets ? There isn't a seam I can work around like on the ashray with a noticable top and bottom half. The paint will meet on a tubular bar in the center. Is there going to be a line or a ridge?

No there wont be a line, at least, there wasn't one when i had to repaint a spot on my project because i missed it. The only thing i would worry about would be what the tube is sitting on, ie a rack, when it's reheating it might make an indent in the paint? Wait for what another person has to say tho.

hey cruizer crazy is right i did a set of horseshoes and had to shoot one side and cure then turn over and shoot and cure the parting line area i would suggest a hit with 220 grit paper afterfirst coat cools so the second shot of powder will lay down smooth.
when in doubt polish it out/ why replace it when you can refinish it
