Im wondering what guns you guys use. Right now we use the chicago gun and it works fine, just a few problems with it. But we are thinking of getting a new gun, either the eastwod powdercoating gun or going with the chicago gun again. Anyone know of a better gun for kinda cheap? Or any pros/cons of esatwood and chicago gun?

Re: PC Gun
Why are our powder guns better than our competitors?- Our powders cups are tapered to provide smoother flow, and they are gravity fed, rather than siphoned.
- The charge switch is controlled by a foot pedal, leaving your hands free - competitor's are hand controlled.
- The power pack is more compact and lighter.
- Sturdier construction - less powder leaks

Re: PC Gun
I had an E.W. gun and it worked great for a few months. Then it started leaking, not charging the powder and not grounding the parts. My friend has a caswell gun that he uses in his business (daily powdercoating) His works great still... I was leary of the design at first but I have used it and absolutely love it. Plus for the price you surely cant beat it.

I'm so confident in this unit that today I talked someone out of spending $1500 on our pro-unit to spend $95 on this one. It's a great system, and we will stand behind it 100%.--

Re: PC Gun
If there is a chance that you might go with the Chicago gun again, definitely get the Caswell gun instead.
Buying the Caswell gun is like buying from your friendly local family-run store down the street. It's worth a lot to have people to call for help. I've had to deal with them a few times and I always feel good after getting off the phone with them.Steve Dold

Re: PC Gun
I have seen the Chigago gun at a Harbor Freight store, it's not the same as the Caswell gun. Plus, at Harbor Freight it was $100, the Caswell gun is $95 and better quality. If the Caswell gun has a problem, Caswell will resolve the problem. Harbor Freight would be a huge hassle.

Re: PC Gun
I bought a CE gun when I first started, and it was ok...or at least I thought it was, but it wasn't long before I found out it wasn't as reliable as I hoped it would be. I know someone who is on his third EW gun in five years...enuff said there. I only wish Caswell was about six months quicker with their pro gun. If I were in your shoes I would be taking a much closer look at the $95 Caswell gun. JMHO. You get what you pay for. Service is king.
