Which temp guns are descently priced that are still pretty accurate?

The one Caswell sells is as good as any. Most are like the majority of things now days. Mass produced and different name or logos put on for different vendors.

I just picked up a Centech one from Harbor Freight for $39. I compared it to my fathers $125 gun and they both read the same temp.

Thats what I am looking for.

My experience with coating is that the EXACT temp is not that important.

If your supposed to bake at 400... 390-410 is completely fine.

So, a tad of inaccuracy is fine.
