name this powdercoat

alright...we have a vibraphone (mallet instrument) at school that has parts powdercoated on it, and im wanting to do the same to our old vibes when i rebuild them...

im not sure of the powder used though, and i cant find a good picture...so ill explain...

its a charcoal-grey kinda color, and it has craters in it, and the black shows through on the craters....its really neat..

so does anyone know what kind this could be?

anyone willing to PC these pieces for me for free by any chance? we have no repair budget really, and i want to surprise my band director by fixing up the old vibraphone...

i would agree on the silver vein. gach where are you located?

From your description it is most definately a vein powdercoat. However, there are multiple colors of vein. Silver, Gold, Copper, Titanium. Without a picture its difficult to guess.
