hello
if i want to powdercoat chrome mag wheel,can i pc right over the chrome whit candy powder?? and what about degassing the wheel
something else i should know about the process

if it were steel then the outgas should not be necessary. with the aluminum being chrome plated i am not sure about the outgas necessity either. as for the candy over chrome it will work fine. it needs to be cleaned very well and then wipe down with pre or acetone, blow dry and powder as normal. i am sure others with experience in chrome plated aluminum will chime in and answer if you need to outgas.

The only thing Im not sure about is the temp. cause the plate will turn loose at high temps. but Im not sure at what temp.

You shouldn't need to outgas if it is allready chrome plated. If it did outgas, it would blister the chrome, it's not that porous. At 400 deg, you should be fine.
