  • pc a engine block

    im worried when i take the block down and blast it, when i go to clean it with iron phospate and i go to dry it will it flash rust and the other problem of making shure all the sandblast media out of it any tips or tricks,thanks

    Take it to a machine shop and have it hot tanked. I paid $20 to have it done.

      Ok here is how I do them:
      1 Engine only comes to me after it has been to the machine shop
      A: Degreased
      B: Been worked on and ready for assy.
      2. Bead blast block heads oil pan etc.
      3. Spray with acetone from a bottle ( WEAR A MASK )
      4. Let dry and powder coat..

        Same here. and if they insist I just go ahead and take it as is and charge extra My shop rate is $75/hr and people pay it.
