  • Chrome Powder

After I sprayed on the chrome powder and cured it, it came out of the oven really shiny. They I sprayed on the clear and put it back in the oven, this time it is not near as shiny. What did I do wrong?

You did it correctly, that is the way it suppose to look like. I did try Hot Coats new line of reflective chrome. It holds it's shine even with a top clear coat. You might want to look into that.

How many microns do you think you powder film is ? Clear coat powder coat has a tendensy to get yellow or not so bright at high film thickness.
You may try again, putting a little bit less on your subject, it might help.
Did you know that it is possible to use every gram of powder if you recycle when coating, and vapors are almost none !
In a wet paint approx. 80-90 % evaporates into the air. Causing stress on the enviroment !
1 kg. of powder can cover approx. 10-12 m3
1 litre. of wet paint covers approx. 2-3 m3
