  • New oven...

Been gone from this form a long time.. I'm supprised I remembered my PW.. lol

My last oven build was from an old 5' diameter x 7' long tank, 3 elements, insulated and would hit 560° no problem.

My newest unit is a bit smaller, 27" x 27" x 40" tall, built from metal studs an sheet metal, rock wool insulated. Dual elements with a capillary type thermostat. I have a smaller oven that I use a lot so I made a jumper power cord that works on both ovens and my wire feed welder.

My first time to temp test was pretty good I didn't expect it to perform as good as it did, from an ambient 78° to 350 took 8 minutes..

It's not the prettiest thing in the world but it will do the job. My son has a '68 mustang project car and I'll be putting this oven to good use with all the parts that we need to do.

If it jams; Force it. And if it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

I can go from 0 to "What seems to be the problem Officer?" in 3 seconds."
