    Hi
Just wondering, how many btu's needed to heat an area to 425 degrees thats 3 feet wide by 5 feet high by 7 feet long?
    Thanks

    Re: BTU's

    Joe,
Our is about 32.7 cubic ft. it has a 6.5KW 220 volt element. That's equal to about 22,200 btuh. That's about 679 btu per cubic ft..
Your oven is 150 cubic ft., if you used the same 679 you'd need about 72,000 btuh. But, a lot depends on how tight and well insulated the oven is, your results may vary! Don't forget that's btu output.
Ours will go 550F + in about 25 minutes (from cold)

not disputing your math at all bro just scratching my head. since yours is a 6.5kw element that means 6500watts right? if so i would need 10 of them to heat a 4'x4'x6' oven. does this sound right? i am not well versed on btu conversions and heat loads.
when in doubt polish it out/ why replace it when you can refinish it

Correct 1KW is 1000 watts. Your 96 cubic ft. works out to 65,200 btuh or 19KW. Rather than installing 10 ? 1000 watt heaters you might want to consider 2 ? 10KW heaters, that way you could have 2 stages.
