  • Pregnant Oven Insulation

    I know most people recommend the Certainteed Ultra Gold Duct Board. I am having a hard time finding it and hear that it is expensive ($65/board). Some people have mentioned that they tried the
    Dow Tuff-R R13 Insulation. How well would that work and is it safe?

    If you look at the links above, the Certainteed is rated for 250* operating temperature while the Tuff-R is rated at 190*. Shouldn't this be a concern?

    Any other comments?

      The info for that stuff says it's combustible.

        I used fire resistance ceiling tiles. then covered the inside with aluminum to reflect the IR. It works great & is light weight.
