I got the Idea from this dude. But I'm a fat dude so I wanted to make it upright. I used a old cabinet like you would see in a old school and the barn door track things real cool. That was my idea. I'm new to this site I hope you can see the pics.

Re: My oven
The insulation is Owens Corning 2" 703 from there 700 series. It comes in 2x4 sheets 96sf in a box. I'm still waiting for the contactor to come in from Famous parts .com. I have the thermostat controlling a light bulb so I now when shut off the breaker until the contactor comes in. I got the basic idea from that web site he gives a lot of info on materials and stuff. I could'nt get the contactor cheaper local. All you need is two old ovens and your in. I used metal studs to build two boxes to mount the elements in the bottom. The only thing I can't seem to come up with is a circulation fan I keep drawing a blank on that one. But it works good heats up in 10 min. and runs one more time for a few min. Thanks guys.Last edited by mikekozura; 02-11-2006, 10:06 AM.

Re: My oven
Mike,
Don't know where you're out of but you should have an electric motor shop somewhere close by. The usually carry some small motors and small fan blades. We used a cheap air over 1/16 hp motor a 5 or 6" fan blade inside the cabinet. Shaft goes through the side wall and mounted the motor outside the cabinet. We got one with the shaft plenty long and mounted a 4" fan blade and 2" (cut down a 4") fan on the shaft between the cabinet and the motor. The inside one circulates the air and the 4" blows air over the motor and the 2" acts like a heat sling.
Motor has been chugging away for 2 years, the works cost about $50..
The motor shop can help you pick the motor and blade so you get the rotation and correct blades..
Hope that helps

Re: My oven
I'm live 20 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. baby home of the World Champs. HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO. Thanks for the info I got some things brewing in my head now and that was a big help. Don't know where your from but I hope your a STEELER fan. LOL
This site has been a lot of help at least people will talk to you. I bought some powder from Pendry and was on there site and no one would talk to me.
This powder coating and polishing is just like anything else common sense, practice, and what works for you. But its nice to have somewhere to turn for a opinion from someone that knows what the h@ll there doing. Thanks again.

Re: My oven
I've got to agree with you, pretty sociable bunch here and some very knowledgeable members too.
We're situated about 50 miles due South of Cleveland. Not much of a football fan anymore but I can tell you when the Browns and Steelers play I know who will win
