Indoors or Outdoors Oven

I have noticed some people have their oven in the basement. As long as you vent outside, are there any fumes that would arise from spraying of the powder coating itself?

As well does anyone know if there are fumes or anything dangerous from the ceramic paints?

I was thinking that the process of handling parts in and down to the basement would surely cause the part to lose powder, so everything would have to be down there.

What precautions have the people who have it in the basement taken?

err on the side of safety and vent outside. it may never be an issue to vent indoors but why take a chance on damaging your house not to mention you and your familys health. asa for the ceramic paint i am starting to do that also and there is some small amounts of fumes involved. again if you can vent the spray booth and oven outdoors it will be fine. just like when shooting powder you should wear a respirator when shooting ceramic. best of luck bro and hope this helps.

hmmm....I wish I had a basment entrance, dragging the parts through the house sounds like a bad idea. ( at least as far as the wife is conerned)

Definately vent Outdoors. My Oven is 8 x 8 x 10 and my shop area 32x36. This Oven will smoke out the entire area after curring and the doors are open. I usually have to open the doors to get the smoke out. Not something you or family should breath. I plan on installing a duct fan I can turn on just prior to opening the doors, to vent outside my shop.
