Re: Heat Strips
We built a small oven using 5.4K elements from a dryer before. We did circulate the air (diffused so didnt blow powder) It worked ok, but the temperature fluctuated too much and made calculating bake times difficult. needless to say I still have 4 brand new ones sitting on a shelf in my shop. May build a small cabinet and use them with a bigger blower for shop heat.

Re: Heat Strips
Most electric heating elements made for a air handling unit need just that...LOTS of air or they tend to burn out prematurely. I think it would be way more air then you'd ever want or need

Heat Strips
Anyone ever used or heard of someone using heat strips from a a/c unit w/a blower blowing across the strips? Had a HVAC man tell me thats the way to go since air needs to circulate inside. He said that it would hold a temp. of 500 degrees if I need it to be. Any Comments?Tags: None
