    Re: color mixing

if you are talking about blending/mixing powder it doesnt work like you would think. example if red and white are mixed you dont get pink, you get red and white specks all mixed together. the colors do not mix well and will not flow out to a mix color. there are a few exceptions but not many.

        Re: color mixing

sorry for the misunderstanding. the way to do 2 colors will vary from person to person. if you are wanting to shoot 2 separate colors on the same piece and need a tape line then mask the part with with temp tape and shoot first coat. put in oven till full cure. remove and let cool. remove tape and mask other side and shoot second color and repeat above process. if shooting one color over another such as transparent or candy colors. then i shoot the chrome or white base and full cure them. then i remove the part from the oven and shoot right away while still at full temp. this will let the powder melt on contact and you can see the coverage. but be careful this way can cause you to coat to heavy in spots and have runs or sags. hope this helps

I just got done doing a fade on my quad frame. I faded from orange to yellow to match the flame graphics on my plastic. What i did was spray the orange, baked for 10 minutes, pulled it out and then sprayed the yellow. It turned out great, heres a picture.
