    I'm ordering 3" rock wool insulation today.. should i double it? make it 6" instead? any opinions?
    If it jams; Force it. And if it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

    More is better in this case- Most commercial ovens use at least 4" so you could go either way but if the cost difference is not an issue (depending on the oven size) then I would go with the 6" - keeping in mind that you want the insulation to have some room to breathe- Dont pack it like 10#'s of doo in a 5# bag.....

      I have installed the insulation.. wow the garage is nice and cool now...LOL anyway..
