If you are running more than 1 element, i recommed the contactor.. every time you add an element you double the amps.... and it will cook the contacts in the thermostat in no time...If it jams; Force it. And if it breaks it needed replacing anyway.
I can go from 0 to "What seems to be the problem Officer?" in 3 seconds."

Re: need someone smart to need someonehelp me out with electrical
Hi, just reading posts to hopefully get wiring info, I have a wall oven, I have purchased a pid, thermocouple and 40A ssr from Aubur, I have 220vac going to a box beside oven. This is where my knowledge ends. I need someone with more knowledge than me to draw a simple sketch starting at the supply and ending at the two elements. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Terry

Do a search for schematic and it will bring you a wealth of information. You may get mostly manual contactors. So also try SSR wiring. Otherwise, come back and ask your questions. But you should be able to find what you need in the search.Who says you can't teach an ole dog new tricks?
