During my amateur car restoration & buildup projects I will have several one-off steel parts (mostly under 12"x12" & 100 sq.in.) that I'd like to plate using hard chrome or copy chrome. (I will also have a few parts that need powder coating... some larger than a household oven, some smaller, and perhaps a few aluminum parts that would look great anodized).
I would not hesitate to invest in a Caswell plating kit but it seems to me from browsing these forums that all of you have already invested a great deal of your own time to gain the experience necessary to get consistently good results. So rather than try to master the process myself, I'd like to give the business to someone within driving distance of Portland Oregon who would be willing to take on small one-off plating or powder coating projects from time to time at less than professional prices.
Items may include fabricated brackets, (two stroke engine) cylinder heads & jugs, exhaust pipes, castings, frame or suspension components, brake calipers, etc. Even if you can't do it all, let me know if you'd like to do some of these and what your size/process limits are.
Send me an email or PM if you're interested...
